RAC Update – 8/21/2006
The masons from Price Masonry continue to excavate trenches in the cellar and underpin sections of the foundation that have ductwork passing under them. Currently they are working on the northern wall of the period I house and the eastern wall of the period II house. Preparations are also being made for driving the steel pilings along the side of the HVAC bunker and plywood walkboards have been laid down on the eastern side of the garrett.

Keith is inserting heart-pine dutchmen into duPont era radiator holes.
M-111 (Nelly’s Parlor)
Mac is removing nails from the exposed joists and preparing to lay flooring.
M-112 (Nelly’s Dining Room)
Steve continues to lay the new heart pine floors in the dining room.
M-207 (Old Library)
Keith has installed heart-pine dutchmen into duPont era radiator holes.
Austin continues to work on the eastern truss in the portico.
Thomas is applying the second coat of stain to the shingles
The masons continue to clean the haze off of the brickwork above the colonnade.
Blaise Gaston continues to fabricate the railings in his shop.
The historic cornice has been installed and Wayne Mays is currently working on re-installing the fireplace surround and hearth.
duPont Salon (Visitor Center)
Most of the trim and ceiling decoration is installed and Ray Cannetti has started to re-assemble the mantels from M-134 (the morning room) and M-136 (the Adam room).
