RAC Update – 8/28/2006
The masons from Price Masonry continue to excavate trenches in the cellar and underpin sections of the foundation that have ductwork passing under them. Currently they are laying bricks around a centering frame for one of the major pipe sleeves that will run from the bunker under the foundation of the east wall and into the cellar. The pilings to support the bunker are also being installed and the sub-contractors are making final preparations to their plans.
M-114 (Vaulted Closet)
Mac has replaced the missing floorboards on the eastern side of the closet with new heart pine boards.
M-112 (Nelly’s Dining Room)
Steve and Mac continue to lay the new heart pine floors in the dining room with Les undercutting each board. Ray Cannetti has also finished repair the St. Bee’s hearth (it had cracked into two pieces) and Tim from Price Masonry is repairing the vaulted hearth support.
Austin continues to work on the eastern truss in the portico and the plywood walk boards for the HVAC duct work are being installed.
Thomas continues to apply the second coat of stain to the shingles. He is currently on the eastern slope.
Blaise Gaston continues to fabricate the railings in his shop.
