RAC Update – 2/5/2007

Work on the electrical, fire suppression, VESDA, and temperature/humidity monitoring systems continues.

The subterranean fiberglass ductwork continues to be installed throughout the cellar.

The forms for the bunker entrance walls are being constructed.

M-101 (North Wing Closet and Stair enclosure)

Les Lamois is framing the stair enclosure for the north cellar stairs

M-106 (North Passage)

Mac Ward is leveling the framing for the small, Madison-era second floor landing that survives in situ.  We plan to re-use this framing, although dutchmen, additional bracing and epoxy treatments will most likely be needed before the new carriages are attached.

Re-used riven lath is also being installed in the western portion of this space.

M-110 (Period I stair enclosure)

Keith Forrey has installed the headers for the doorways into this space.

M-111 (Back Chamber)

The top portion of the re-constructed chimney breast has been completed.  It had been left unfinished in order to install duct work.

M-112 (Old Dining Room)

The closet under the stair is being lathed with re-used riven lath

Chinese Railings

The top rails have being installed on the north and south wings.
